Maersk and Hapag-Lloyd will launch 2 new feeder services to provide connections between the Colombian hub of Cartagena with US Gulf coast ports from March 2025. Oceanus Line has launched a new Florida Gulf Express (FGX) service that connects Port Manatee, Freeport (Texas), Veracruz, Cartagena, Port Manatee on a fortnightly basis with the 1,740 teu X-PRESS COTOPAXI. The service started on 18 March 2023 at Cartagena, with an ad hoc call at Tuxpan enroute to Port Manatee on its inaugural voyage. Oceanus Line is based in Miami, Florida and was established in October 2022.
