HMM launch PSX after THE Alliance drops PS8

HMM has launched a standalone PSX service that connects Shanghai, Kwangyang, Busan, Long Beach, Oakland, Busan, Kwangyang, Incheon, Shanghai using 6 ships of 10,000 teu that are shifted from the former PS8 service that was operated as part of THE Alliance's transpacific network. The PSX retakes the same port rotation and ships as the PS8, with ONE taking slots from HMM with an allocation of 2,977 teu per voyage. Hapag-Lloyd and Yang Ming will not participate on the PSX. SeaLead replaces direct Transpacific service with new transhipment option

SeaLead has ended its direct services on the Transpacific connecting China with the US and replaced it with a transhipment option to the the US East Coast by transhipment via Damietta. SeaLead started its transpacific operations in August 2021 on the Asia-US West Coast and added a Asia-US East Coast service via the Panama Canal in March 2022. These services were operated on an irregular basis using ships of 3,500 to 7,000 teu. The direct transpacific connections have stopped since December 2022

Transfar to exit transpacific trade

Transfar Shipping will stop its transpacific services from February 2023 after the 3 ships it currently deploys on the trade end their current voyages from the US East Coast. It had already ceased to operate on the US West Coast since December 2022. The 3,398 teu ZHONG GU SHAN DONG will phase out on 22 February 2023 at Laem Chabang. Maersk suspends TP20 FE-USEC transpacific service

Maersk has suspended the TP20 FE-USEC transpacific service that connects Jakarta, Cai Mep, Shanghai, Ningbo, Busan, Panama Canal, Mobile, New York, Suez Canal, Jakarta with the last sailing by the 4,252 teu NAGOYA TRADER that has departed from Jakarta on 13 February 2023. The service currently deploys 12 to 13 ships of 4,200-5,500 teu and provides the only direct connection between Jakarta to the US East Coast. SeaLead reroutes Asia-US East Coast service via Suez

SeaLead will re-route its Asia-US East Coast (AEC) service from Panama to the Suez route by transhipment at Damietta. The service will replace its previous AEC service that was first launched in March 2022 to connect Nansha, Ningbo, Qingdao, Busan, Norfolk, New York, Charleston, Jacksonville, Nansha via the Panama Canal. COSCO/OOCL adds India-USEC AWES/ISE service

COSCO and OOCL have launched a new Southeast Asia-US East Coast service via Mundra in India. The service is marketed by COSCO as the Asia-US East Coast Express Service South (AWES) and by OOCL as the India-Southeast Asia East Coast (ISE). The AWES/ISE calls at Singapore, Laem Chabang, Cai Mep, Mundra, Suez Canal, New York, Norfolk, Boston, Suez Canal, Singapore using 10 ships of 3,500-4,250 teu starting from 6 January 2023 at Cai Mep with the 3,534 teu GOTTFRIED SCHULTE.

ONE to take slots on CMA CGM's JAX service to the US West Coast

ONE will take slots on the Far East-USWC leg of CMA CGM's Columbus JAX service connecting Port Klang, Laem Chabang, Cai Mep, Yantian, Los Angeles, Oakland, Yantian, Cai Mep, Singapore, Port Klang from 15 February 2023. CMA CGM updates Cheasapeake Bay Express (CBX)

CMA CGM has updated its FE-ECNA Cheasapeake Bay Express (CBX) service with the addition of calls at Singapore, Laem Chabang and Haiphong. OCEAN Alliance partners also slots on this service, branding it as the CBX (Evergreen), AWE7 (COSCO) and ECC3 (OOCL). The revised rotation calls at Singapore, Laem Chabang, Haiphong, Yantian, Ningbo, Shanghai, Busan, Panama (Canal), Norfolk, Savannah, Charleston, Miami, Suez(Canal), Singapore.
