COSCO/OOCL adds India-USEC AWES/ISE service

COSCO and OOCL have launched a new Southeast Asia-US East Coast service via Mundra in India. The service is marketed by COSCO as the Asia-US East Coast Express Service South (AWES) and by OOCL as the India-Southeast Asia East Coast (ISE). The AWES/ISE calls at Singapore, Laem Chabang, Cai Mep, Mundra, Suez Canal, New York, Norfolk, Boston, Suez Canal, Singapore using 10 ships of 3,500-4,250 teu starting from 6 January 2023 at Cai Mep with the 3,534 teu GOTTFRIED SCHULTE.

RCL and CNC launch Yangon Cambodia Express (YGX)

RCL has teamed up with CMA CGM's intra-Asia carrier, CNC, to launch a new Yangon Cambodia Express (YGX) service that connects Singapore, Port Klang, Yangon, Port Klang, Singapore, Sihanoukville, Singapore from 3 January 2023. The service will deploy 3 ships on a 21 day rotation, starting with the 1,060 teu GREEN PACIFIC from CNC and followed by 2 more ships from RCL - the 928 teu NITHI BHUM and 1,118 teu OTANA BHUM.

ESL to lauch 2 Indonesia feeder services through slots on RCL

Emirates Shipping Line (ESL) will launch 2 services connecting its Southeast Asia hub of Port Klang with the Indonesian ports of Jakarta and Surabaya in January 2023. The JKT service connecting Port Klang, Jakarta, Port Klang will start on 6 January 2023 and the SUB service connecting Port Klang, Surabaya, Port Klang will start from 8 January 2023. Both of these services are offered through a slot arrangement with RCL who are operating the feeder services as part of its ASEAN feeders network.
