MSC will launch a new Pertiwi service that connects Busan, Qingdao, Incheon, Dalian, Xingang, Cai Mep, Laem Chabang, Singapore, Tanjung Pelepas, Jakarta, Panjang, Singapore, Tanjung Pelepas, Busan from 8 July 2022. 5 ships of 2,500 teu are expected to be deployed on this service that will turn in 35 days, starting with the 2,526 teu CARDIFF TRADER that will join the service on 8 July at Busan under its new MSC name. Bengal Tiger Line (BTL) has teamed up with Meratus Line to launch a new China Indonesia Service (CIS) calling at Jakarta, Surabaya, Ningbo, Nansha with the 1,162 teu MTT SAMALAJU that made its maiden call for BTL at Jakarta on 3 June 2022. The Ningbo call will be replaced by Shanghai once the lockdown in Shanghai is fully lifted. CMA CGM, COSCO and OOCL will launch a new Far East-West Coast South America service from the end of June 2022 calling at Hong Kong, Shekou, Ningbo, Shanghai, Manzanillo, Puerto Quetzal, San Antonio, Hong Kong. The service will turn in 10 weeks, using 5 ships of 3,300 teu to 5,090 teu on a fortnightly frequency with 3 ships from CMA CGM and 2 ships from COSCO. PIL to launch new South China Thailand Vietnam link

PIL will launch a new Thailand China Vietnam (TCV) service calling at Laem Chabang, Qinzhou, Haiphong, Ho Chi Minh City, Laem Chabang. The service will start from 3 June from Laem Chabang with the 777 teu KOTA RATNA. The service will turn in 2 weeks, with sailings provided every fortnight. A second ship is expected to be added later with the frequency to be upgraded to weekly.

Jin Jiang and SITC to launch new China Thailand Vietnam link

Jin Jiang Shipping (JJS) and SITC will launch a new service connecting Shanghai, Nansha, Bangkok, Laem Chabang, Ho Chi Minh City, Shanghai using 3 ships of 1,600 teu. The service will start on 1 Jun from Shanghai with the 1,608 teu HE JIN from Jin Jiang Shipping and is branded as the China Thailand Express 2 (CTX2) by JJS and Vietnam Thailand Express 5 (VTX5) by SITC.

CMA CGM will relaunch its Indian Ocean Feeder 3 (IO Feeder 3) service that connects Pointe des Galets, Port Louis, Tamatave, Pointe des Galets, Longoni, Pointe des Galets on a fortnightly basis, linking the 3 Indian Ocean nations of Mauritius and Madagascar with the French overseas department of Reunion. Maersk, Hapag-Lloyd and ONE will cooperate on the US West Coast-Central America route through a joint service arrangement on 2 existing services starting from the end of June 2022.
