Maersk has suspended the TP28 transpacific service that called at Cai Mep, Yantian, Ningbo, Shanghai, Houston, Norfolk, Cai Mep with the last sailing from Cai Mep scheduled on 13 October 2022 with the 4,431 teu MERKUR ARCHIPELAGO. The TP28 service was launched only in April 2022 and has been running irregularly using ships of 4,200-5,900 teu, with an average weekly capacity of less than 2,000 teu. Maersk and MSC have suspended their jointly operated TP3/Sequoia transpacific service, with the last sailing made by the 14,036 teu MSC SAVONA from Shanghai on 22 September 2022. The service called at Ningbo, Shanghai, Los Angeles/Long Beach, Ningbo using 6 ships of 11,000-15,000 teu running on an 8 week rotation. Matson's China-California Express (CCX) made its last sailing from Shanghai on 4 September 2022 with the 3,600 MATSONIA. The CCX was launched in 29 June 2021 and called at Ningbo, Shanghai, Oakland, Long Beach, Honolulu, Ningbo. The service was operated with 3 ships of 2,824-3,600 teu on a 5 week rotation, with 2 blank sailings in each cycle. The withdrawal will remove 2,005 teu weekly from the route. French carrier Marfret will launch a new Egypt-Italy Express service that connects Genoa, Salerno, Alexandria, Genoa. The new service will deploy the 390 teu LYDIA that has just rejoined Marfret at the end of August 2022 and is currently deployed on the FluvioFeeder/Lydia Feeder service running between Le Havre and Rouen. The new service is scheduled to start from Genoa in mid October 2022 and is targetted at the reefer fruit exports from Egypt, with Marfret positioning 200 new reefer container

Containerships, the intra-Europe subsidiary of CMA CGM, has revised the rotation of 2 existing services that connects that UK and Ireland with the North Continent. The DUKE service will cover Germany and the UK East Coast as part of the revised BALT1 CS service, calling at Helsinki, Talinn, Hamburg, Rotterdam, Teesport, Rotterdam, Helsinki with the 850 teu CONTAINERSHIPS VIII and the 966 teu CONTAINERSHIPS VI. Unifeeder has introduced a new service linking Lithuania and UK from 10 September 2022. The service calls at Klaipeda, Gdynia, Immingham, Rotterdam, Gdansk, Klaipeda on a 11-13 day turnaround using the 1,025 teu ELBSPRING and the 1,036 teu ELBWAVE.

Hapag Lloyd is launching a Colombo Chittagong Feeder (CCF) starting from 30 September 2022 with 1,740 teu HANSA RENDSBURG at Chittagong. The service will run on 14-days rotation on fortnightly basis. HANSA RENDSBURG was initially deployed in East Med trade after joining Hapag Lloyd in early August.

Vasi Shipping has launched a new Haiphong Singapore Service (HSS) using the 1,200 teu CAPE FLORES that has just joined Vasi on a 12 month charter at $35,000 per day after ending its previous charter at Rif Line/Kalypso. The HSS started on 13 September 2022 at Haiphong at the Nam Hai Dinh Vu terminal with sailings to be provided every 9-10 days.

Dubai-headquartered Tehama Shipping Services (TSS) has launched the Tehama India Express (TIX) service that connects Jebel Ali, Mundra and Nhava Sheva. The new service was launched on 2 September 2022 at Jebel Ali with sailings every 11-12 days using the 2,764 teu TSS SHAMS. The TSS SHAMS was previously offering ad hoc sailings between the UAE and Western India connecting Jebel Ali, Sharjah, Mundra and Pipavav. Interasia is starting a New Japan-South China Service (NST) connecting Tokyo, Yokohama, Nagoya, Nansha, Shekou, Tokyo starting from 9 November with the 990 teu BF PERCH. The service will turn in 2 weeks with a second ship, the 1,008 teu IAL 001 expected to be deployed.
