CNC (CMA CGM) has added a new call at Mongla on the Bengal Bay Express (BBX) service. The revised rotation will call at Singapore, Port Klang, Chittagong, Mongla, Singapore using the 2,257 teu UBENA from 5 January 2023 with the first call at Mongla on 15 January 2023.
The four carrier partnership of ANL (CMA CGM), Hapag-Lloyd, Maersk and ONE on the SE Asia-Australia route will revise their 3 existing services from March 2023. The first service, branded respectively as the ANL 'AAX-S' (changed from AAX1), Hapag-Lloyd 'SEA', Maersk 'Greater Australia Connect' (GAC) (changed from Cobra) and ONE 'AU1', will call at Port Klang, Tanjung Pelepas, Singapore, Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Fremantle, Port Kelang from 9 March 2023 with the 8,400 teu MAERSK STRALSUND .
Hapag-Lloyd will take slots from CMA CGM on the Asia-North Europe FAL3 service (operated as the OCEAN Alliance NEU5) starting from 14 February 2023. The service connects Qingdao, Ningbo, Shanghai, Yantian, Singapore, Tangier, Southampton, Rotterdam, Antwerp, Le Havre, Tangier, Jeddah, Qingdao with Hapag-Lloyd not participating on the calls at Tangier. Hapag-Lloyd will withdraw its China-Germany Express (CGX) service with the last sailing scheduled to depart from Shanghai on 1 February 2023 with the 4,043 teu LIMARI. The service was first launched on 9 April 2022 as a 2 port shuttle service connecting Dachan Bay and Wilhemshaven to turn in 56 days, offering a direct weekly link from China to Germany with a one way transit time of 27 days. CMA CGM's intra-Asia arm CNC is relaunching the Nine Provinces Feeder (NPF) service that connects the North Asia hub of Busan with 5 Japanese ports in Kyushu. The relaunched service started on 9 January 2023 at Busan with the 724 teu ATLANTIC BRIDGE and will call weekly at Busan, Hakata, Shibushi, Hososhima, Oita, Moji, Hakata and Busan. Zim and Gold Star Line (GSL) are upgrading the China Australia Express (CAX) service with the addition of new southbound calls at Nansha and Yantian, while the northbound call at Haiphong will be dropped. The revised CAX rotation will call at Shanghai, Ningbo, Xiamen, Nansha, Yantian, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Shanghai starting from 3 January 2023.
