Zim/Gold Star Line launch Korea Express (KRX) service

Gold Star Line will launch a new Korea Express (KRX) service from 18 October 2022 calling at Taichung, Kaohsiung, Shekou, Xiamen, Busan (New Port & North Port), Incheon, Xiamen, Taichung. The GSL service will turn in 2 weeks using the 1,134 teu ZIM AUSTRALIA and the 1,049 teu ASIATIC PRIDE.

CMA CGM suspends Golden Gate Bridge service

CMA CGM has suspended further sailings on the Golden Gate Bridge (GGB) service that called at Kaohsiung, Shekou, Shanghai, Busan, Seattle, Oakland Kaohsiung with the last sailing from Busan on 15 Sep 2022 with the 9,415 teu CMA CGM MEDEA. The GGB service has been running on an irregular basis since April with departures every 2 weeks due to severe congestion at Oakland and Seattle. The last 4 ships currently deployed on this services have all been re-assigned with the 11,388 teu CMA CGM GEMINI

Unifeeder adds Wilhemshaven-Scandinavia feeder links

Unifeeder will add 2 new Scandinavian feeder connections with Wilhelmshaven starting from 11 October 2022. The 1,008 teu IDA RAMBOW will serve the Wilhemshaven, Hamburg, Fredericia, Aarhus, Wilhelmshaven route and the 1,338 teu JAN will serve the Hamburg, Wilhelmshaven, Oslo, Gothenburg, Hamburg route.

Hapag-Lloyd revise CGX port rotation

Hapag-Lloyd has added Shanghai to the China-Germany Express (CGX) rotation and replaced the current Le Havre call with Antwerp. The revised CGX will call at Shanghai, Dachan Bay, Singapore, Wilhelmshaven, Antwerp, Shanghai starting from 8 November with the 4,252 SEASPAN HAMBURG. The total service duration will increase from 8 weeks to 9 weeks, with 9 ships of 2,500-4,800 teu to be deployed. CMA CGM extend Morocco Shuttle

CMA CGM's Short Sea Lines Division will extend its existing Morocco Shuttle service with the addition of a new call at Port Vendres in southern France starting from 10 Nov 2022. The service will call weekly at Agadir, Port Vendres, Barcelona, Algeciras, Tanger Med, Casablanca, Agadir using 2 Moroccan flag ships (the 1,118 teu CMA CGM AGADIR and CMA CGM TANGER) that will also allow them to serve the cabotage trades within Moroccan ports. MSC adds Fiji link

MSC will upgrade its Noumea Express service to include new calls at the Fijian ports of Lautoka and Suva starting from 10 November 2022. The revised rotation will call at Sydney, Brisbane, Noumea, Lautoka*, Suva* (*fortnightly), Sydney. The existing call at Bell Bay on the Noumea Express is expected to be incorporated within an alternate week basis.
