ONE and Unifeeder upgrades MIM/MJI service to Mozambique

ONE and Unifeeder (Feedertech) will upgrade their jointly operated Mozambique India Middle East (MIM)/Mozambique Jebel Ali India (MJI) service with the addition of a new call at Beira from 27 August 2023, and Nhava Sheva from 19 September 2023. The revised MIM/MJI port rotation will be Jebel Ali, Mundra, Nhava Sheva, Mombasa, Beira, Maputo, Jebel Ali. The service turns in 35 days and currently deploys 3 ships of 1,700-2,000 teu with departures every 7 to 14 days.

Sealand Asia to launch IA11 intra-Asia string

Sealand Asia, the intra-Asia regional carrier of Maersk, will launch a new weekly IA11 service connecting Taiwan, East China and Vietnam in August. SeaLead has extended the West Asia-Red Sea WARM service to Turkey starting from 21 July 2023. The revised WARM service will call at Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Kandla, Damietta, Ambarli, Damietta, Jeddah, Nhava Sheva. The service will turn in 35 days using up to 5 ships of 1,400-2,o00 teu. RCL and CUL have added a new call at Sihanoukville on their jointly operated RBC1/BC1  (RCL Bangkok China 1/China-Thailand Service 1) service. The revised rotation of the RBC1/BC1 will be Ningbo, Shanghai, Sihanoukville, Bangkok, Laem Chabang, Ho Chi Minh City, Ningbo starting from 10 August 2023. The service turns in 3 weeks, and currently deploys 2 ships of 1,200-1,500 from RCL and one 1,930 teu ship from CUL.

New New Shipping launch pioneer Northern Sea Route service between Russia and China

Hainan Yangpu New New Shipping has launched the first of several planned voyages through the Northern Sea Route (NSR) with the departure of the 1,638 teu NEWNEW POLAR BEAR from St Petersburg on 7 July 2023. The 1AS ice-classed ship was acquired by New New Shipping in June this year and will make a 28 day transit to Qingdao and Xingang before reaching Shanghai in August. MSC has launched a new Florida Feeder service that will call Port Everglades, Caucedo, Rio Haina, Jacksonville, Freeport (Bah), Jacksonville, Port Everglades with two 2,000-2,800 teu ship. The service has started with the 2,824 teu AS CAMELLIA at Rio Haina on 7 July.

Maersk breaking up AC2 and AC3

Maersk is breaking up the FE-LTAM butterfly service AC2/AC3 into two separate service AC2 and AC3. AC2 will call Shanghai, Qingdao, Busan, Yokohama, Manzanillo (Mexico), Lazaro Cardenas, Guayaquil, Balboa, Lazaro Cardenas, Shanghai on 70-days round trip with ten 13,568 teu ships. Medkon introduces Russia Express Service (RES)

Medkon Lines has launched a new Russia Express Service (RES) calling at Mersin, Aliaga, Ambarli, Novorossiysk, Alexandria, Mersin from 23 June 2023 with the newly acquired 1,135 teu MEDKON LIA. A second ship, the 1,134 teu MEDKON PERLA is expected to join the service. The ship is newly acquired by Medkon and is cyrrently positioning from China to the Med.

Medkon upgrades Bulgaria-Romania Shuttle service

Medkon Lines have upgraded its new Bulgaria-Romania (BRO) Shuttle service that connects Ambarli, Gebze, Varna, Constanta, Ambarli with larger tonnage introduced in July 2023. The BRO service was introduced in 24 May 2023 with the 353 teu MEDKON KRM, which has been replaced on 13 July 2023 by the 652 teu MEDKON GEMLIK to provide higher capacity to serve the Bulgaria and Romania markets.

Medkon/Admiral upgrades TST service

Medkon Lines have upgraded its Turkey-Spain-Tunisia-Italy (TST) service with the addition of a second ship in a partnership with Admiral Container Lines. The Medkon TST service was launched on 14 April 2023 and calls at Ambarli, Gebze, Gemlik, Aliaga, Valencia, Barcelona, Rades, Taranto, Ambarli with the 704 teu MEDKON MERSIN. It will be complemented Admiral's 340 teu GRETA that has switched a new rotation from 26 June 2023 to call at Ambarli, Gebze, Gemlik, Aliaga, Valencia, Barcelona, Sfax
