Akkon launch new Turkey Israel Service (TIS)

Akkon Lines have launched a new Turkey Israel Service (TIS) connecting Iskenderun, Ashdod, Haifa, Iskenderunn from 4 August 2023 with the 803 teu JSP RIDER. The service will turn in 11-12 days and complement's Akkon's existing Israel Service (IS) that connects Ambarli, Gebze, Gemlik, Aliaga, Ashdod, Haifa, Ambarli on a weekly basis using the 1,118 teu KAPPA and VENTO.

IRIS Lines refocus on Philippines domestic trade

IRIS Lines have pulled out from the international markets and have returned to its Philippines roots after pulling out the 1,118 teu IRIS PAOAY from the Thailand Philippines route. The IRIS PAOAY was acquired by IRIS Lines in 2017 and was trading in the Philippines domestic routes until 23 September 2021 when IRIS redeployed the ship to the Transpacific. OCEAN Alliance adds another Gdansk call in Asia-Europe network

CMA CGM will add a new call at Gdansk on the Asia-Europe FAL 1 service that is operated as part of the OCEAN Alliance NEU1 service from the westbound rotation starting from 10 August 2023. The service is branded respectively as AEU2 by COSCO, LL4 by OOCL and FAL1 by Evergreen. Wan Hai and Feedertech/Unifeeder have teamed up to launch a new India-Middle East Service (IM1/IMS) that will call at Mundra, Nhava Sheva, Jebel Ali, Port Qasim, Mundra. CNAN Nord relaunch Algeria-West Africa and Europe services

CNAN Nord has restarted its Algeria-West Africa service to Nouakchott and Dakar with the return of 2 of its 7 ships that have been idle since 2021 and 2022. The 12,645 dwt/665 teu KHERRATA has been deployed on the Alger-Nouakchott line from 24 June 2023 while the 12,161 dwt/842 teu TIMGAD will be deployed on the Algeria-North Europe service with the first call at Antwerp scheduled on 8 August 2023. Asyad Line has upgraded its Far East Express (FEX) line that connects Oman with India, Singapore and Malaysia with the addition of a new call at Jakarta in Indonesia together with the addition of a 4th ship with the service frequency upgraded to weekly. Maersk/TSL to add Qinzhou call on NV2 service

Sealand Asia (Maersk) and TS Lines will add a northbound call at Qinzhou on their jointly operated NV2 service starting from 2 August 2023. The revised NV2 will retain a 14 day rotation and call at Ningbo, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Haiphong, Qinzhou (new), Hong Kong, Ningbo. The service currently deploys 2 ships of 1,000-1,200 teu with Sealand and TSL each contributing one ship.
