COSCO, PIL and RCL have launched a new jointly operated Straits-Yangon service calling at Singapore, Yangon, Port Klang, Yangon, Singapore from 2 May 2023 that are branded respectively as the SYM1 (Singapore-Yangon-Malaysia 1), YGS (Yangon Service), RSY (RCL Straits Yangon Service). The service turns in 21 days using the 1,367 teu ISEACO WISDOM from COSCO, 1,080 teu KOTA HAPAS from PIL and 928 teu NITHI BHUM from RCL and will provide weekly connections between Singapore and Yangon on the first
PIL has introduced a new Gulf China Service 2 (GC2) through a slot arrangement with ESL on the Galex service. The service is jointly operated by Emirates Shipping Line (ESL), Global Feeder Shipping (GFS), KMTC and RCL using 7 ships of 6,500-8,500 teu with a full rotation that calls at Busan, Shanghai, Ningbo, Xiamen, Dachan Bay, Port Klang, Khor Fakkan, Jebel Ali, Sohar, Qingdao, Busan. PIL will resume calls at Zanzibar in Tanzania with the launch of the new Zanzibar Shuttle (ZNS) that will call at Mombasa, Zanzibar, Mombasa starting from 16 March 2023. The ship to be deployed has not yet been named. The feeder service will tranship at Mombasa in Kenya to PIL's EAS service that connects Mombasa, Port Klang, Singapore, Nansha, Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Nansha, Singapore, Port Klang, Mombasa.
PIL will team up with IRIS Logistics, the shipping arm of Philippine's Royal Cargo group to launch a new Philippines-Singapore-Thailand from 15 February 2023. The new Thailand Philippines Straits (TPS) service will call at Manila, Singapore, Bangkok, Laem Chabang and will turn in 2 weeks using the 1,118 teu IRIS PAOAY from IRIS Logistics and the 1,080 teu KOTA HAPAS from PIL. Emirates Shipping Line (ESL) and Pacific International Lines (PIL) will launch a new South China Philippines (SCP) service connecting Xiamen, Nansha, Shekou, Manila, Cebu, Xiamen from 3 January 2023. PIL, WHL and YM will launch West Coast South America 6 (WS6), a weekly service connecting Ningbo, Shanghai, Qingdao, Busan, Manzanillo (Mexico), Lazaro Cardenas, Puerto Quetzal, Buenaventura, Valparaiso, Ningbo. The service will start with 4,662 teu YM ENLIGHTENMENT calling Ningbo on 13 July.
CNC, PIL and RCL will launch a new weekly service connecting Xingang, Dalian, Incheon, Qingdao, Shanghai, Laem Chabang, Ho Chi Minh City using four ships of 2,400-2,800 teu. The service will start at Xingang on 1 July with the 2,478 teu APL CAIRO.
PIL and partners enhance Gulf China Service, with ESL to join in JulyPIL has announced an enhancement to the Gulf China Service (GCS) with the addition of new calls at Shanghai and Singapore.
The new service, Gulf China 2, is starting on 18 June with KOTA LOCENG (4330teu) calling Ningbo.
