Regional Container Lines (RCL) will launch a new RCL Vietnam Philippines (RVP) service connecting Ho Chi Minh City, Ilo Ilo, Ho Chi Minh City from 25 October 2024 with the geared 628 teu ORA BHUM. The service will operate on a rolling 9-10 day round trip rotation.
Sinotrans has launch a new Shantou-Philippines Service 1 (SPS1) calling at Shantou, Hong Kong, Shekou, Manila (S), Shantou from 12 September 2024. The service turns in 7 days and deployed the 698 teu HAI SU 7 for an initial voyage on 12 September before it is replaced by the sistership HAI SU 6 from 19 September 2024. Sinotrans has taken both of these ships on charter from Antong, who is a fellow subsidiary of the China Merchants Group.
CMA CGM's intra-Asia arm CNC will launch a new Luzon Visayas Mindanao Express (LVMX) service connecting Manila (N), Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Manila (N) from 22 September 2024. The service will operate on a weekly basis with the geared 1,037 teu SOFRANA TOURVILLE.
Sinotrans has launched a new North China-Philippines (NCP) service calling at Xingang, Qingdao, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Manila (North), Xingang from 22 August 2024. The NCP will turn in 3 weeks using 3 ships of 900-1,200 teu starting with the 1,200 teu KANG QI JIA HONG at Xingang on 22 August followed by the 1,032 teu DONG FANG FU and 907 teu SINOTRANS BEIJING
SITC has launched a new China-Philippines Express 7 (CPX 7) service calling at Shanghai, Wenzhou, Manila (South), Cebu, Cagayan de Oro, Shanghai from 30 May 2024. The CPX 7 will turn in 14 days using 2 ships, starting with the 1,060 teu GREEN PACIFIC before being replaced by 2 newbuildings that will be delivered in June, the 1,781 teu SITC HAODE and 1,868 teu SITC ZHI.
IRIS Lines have pulled out from the international markets and have returned to its Philippines roots after pulling out the 1,118 teu IRIS PAOAY from the Thailand Philippines route. The IRIS PAOAY was acquired by IRIS Lines in 2017 and was trading in the Philippines domestic routes until 23 September 2021 when IRIS redeployed the ship to the Transpacific.
