ONE, ESL and Sinokor take slots on X-Press Feeders' new Far East-ISC service

Several carriers have announced their participation in the new X-Press Feeders North China-India West Coast X-Press (NWX) service that is operated jointly with Maersk, which brands it as the FI3 (Far East-India 3) that will start from October 2023. ONE, ESL and Sinokor have all announced their participation in the service, branding it respectively by ONE as Northeast Asia to Pakistan and India (NPI), ESL as Far East West India (FWI) and Sinokor as the North China-India West Coast Express (NWX).

ONE launch Florida Latin Express (FLX)

ONE will launch a new Florida Latin Express (FLX) service from 4 October 2023. The service will turn in 28 days using 4 ships of 1,400-1,700 teu and call at Callao, Paita, Guayaquil, Cartagena, Port Everglades, Puerto Cortes, Cartagena, Callao. The 4 ships will be positioning from Europe and Asia to join the new service, including the 1,436 teu ESSENCE, 1,740 teu HANSA SIEGBURG and the 1,781 teu newbuilding LANGENESS. ONE net earnings more than halved

ONE reported a 58% QoQ drop in net profits in the 2nd quarter of 2023, with its higher exposure on the Transpacific routes dragging down its overall profitability by a larger margin compared to CMA CGM. EBIT margins dropped to 10%, its lowest level since 2020 but net profits were boosted by net interest income due to positive cash balances (ONE does not provide balance sheet details and interest income breakdown). ONE to offer Thai Hakata Express (THX) through slots on SITC/JJS service

ONE will launch a new Thai Hakata Express (THX) service from 10 August 2023 through slots on the existing SITC/Jinjiang Shipping (JJS) Vietnam Thailand Express 5 / China Thailand Express 2  (VTX5/CTX2) service. The service calls at Lianyungang, Qingdao, Laem Chabang, Bangkok, Laem Chabang, Ho Chi Minh City, Nansha, Hakata, Osaka, Kobe, Busan, Lianyungang but ONE's THX will be limited to the northbound connections calling at Bangkok, Laem Chabang, Ho Chi Minh City, Nansha, Hakata, Osaka, Kobe.

ONE upgrades Israel Shuttle Service (ILX) with new Adriatic Israel Butterfly (AIB) loop

ONE will replace its current Israel Shuttle Service (ILX) with a new Adriatic Israel Butterfly (AIB) loop from August 2023. The existing ILX called at Damietta, Haifa, Ashdod, Damietta using the 1,118 teu MITO that will be transferred to the new AIB from 13 August 2023. The AIB will call at Damietta, Koper, Trieste, Venice, Ancona, Piraeus, Alexandra, Damietta, Haifa, Ashdod, Damietta. It will turn in 3 weeks using 3 ships of 1,000-1,200 teu.

ONE and Unifeeder upgrades MIM/MJI service to Mozambique

ONE and Unifeeder (Feedertech) will upgrade their jointly operated Mozambique India Middle East (MIM)/Mozambique Jebel Ali India (MJI) service with the addition of a new call at Beira from 27 August 2023, and Nhava Sheva from 19 September 2023. The revised MIM/MJI port rotation will be Jebel Ali, Mundra, Nhava Sheva, Mombasa, Beira, Maputo, Jebel Ali. The service turns in 35 days and currently deploys 3 ships of 1,700-2,000 teu with departures every 7 to 14 days.

COSCO/OOCL & ONE to jointly launch ECSA-Europe (ESE2/EEX/LUX) service

COSCO/OOCL and ONE will jointly launch a new East East South America-Europe service from 16 September 2023, branded respectively as the 'East Coast South America-Europe 2' (ESE2), 'Europe-East Coast South America Express' (EEX) and 'Latin-East-Coast Europe Express' (LUX). The ESE2/EEX/LUX service will call at Montevideo, Buenos Aires, Itapoa, Paranagua, Santos, Rio De Janeiro, Algeciras, Rotterdam, London Gateway, Hamburg, Antwerp, Lisbon, Algeciras, Santos, Paranagua, Montevideo using 9 ships

Namsung, ONE, PIL & TSL team up to launch Korea-China-Straits (NFS/KC2/KCS/KMV2) service

Namsung, ONE, PIL and TS Lines are coming together to launch a new Korea-China-Straits service starting from 6 July 2023. The new service will call at Busan, Kwangyang, Shanghai, Shekou, Singapore, Port Klang, Penang, Singapore, Ho Chi Minh City, Nansha, Busan using 4 ships of 2,000-2,900 teu, with each partner to deploy one ship each.
