ONE and Samudera add Straits India Gulf (SIG) service

Samudera will be a vessel operating partner with ONE on the Southeast Asia to India and Gulf/Straits India Gulf (SIG) service that was launched on 16 November 2023. The SIG service calls at Singapore, Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Dammam, Jebel Ali, Cochin, Colombo, Singapore using 4 ships of 2,500-2,800 teu on a 28 day rotation, of which Samudera will contribute the 2,824 teu MONACO, that will operate alongside 3 ships operated by ONE (2,542 teu SAFEEN PRISM, 2,664 teu NYK ISABEL and 2,824 teu MONACO).

SeaLead introduces Red Sea Service

SeaLead will launch a new Red Sea Service connecting Jeddah, Djibouti, Hodeidah, Jeddah from mid December 2023 with the 1,732 teu HAIAN WEST. The service will turn in 18-28 days using a single ship initially on an irregular frequency due to congestion at Hodeidah.

COSCO/OOCL launch UAE-India Sub-Continent Gulf 2 (UIG2) service

COSCO and OOCL have introduced a new UAE-India Sub-Continent Gulf 2 (UIG2) service calling at Nhava Sheva, Hazira, Mundra, Abu Dhabi, Jebel Ali, Sharjah, Khalifa bin Salman, Abu Dhabi, Sohar, Nhava Sheva from 22 November 2023. The service replaces the current Asia Gulf India 2 (AGI2) service that calls at Singapore, Mundra, Jebel Ali, Abu Dhabi, Hamad, Khalifa bin Salman, Abu Dhabi, Singapore. X-Press Feeders launch Jeddah Hodeidah X-Press (JHX)

X-Press Feeders has introduced a new Jeddah Hodeidah X-Press (JHX) service that connects Jeddah, Djibouti, Hodeidah, Jeddah from 10 November 2023 using the 1,866 teu EA BLUE NILE and 1,645 teu X-PRESS KOHIMA. The service will operate on an irregular rolling schedule without fixed windows on a full rotation that will take 28 to 32 days due to berth congestion at Djibouti and Hodeidah. Aladin Express has added a call at Hutchison Ports Jazan on its India-Turkey Express (ITX) service from 28 September 2023 with the 1,496 teu WARNOW BOATSWAIN. The Vietnam Gulf India/RCL Gulf Asean/Vietnam Gulf Express/Saigon Gulf Service (VGI/RGA/VGX/SGS) service jointly operated by ESL, KMTC, RCL, CU Lines and Global Feeder Shipping will be upgraded from the 2,500 teu scale to 5,500 teu starting from September 2023, with CMA CGM joining as the 6th partner in the service who brands it as the Vietnam Gulf India (VGI) service. Safeen Feeders has launched a new UAE Pakistan Gulf (UPG) service that connect Abu Dhabi, Dammam, Bahrain, Karachi, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi from 10 September 2023. The service turns in 14 days and deploys the 2,542 teu SAFEEN PRIME and SAFEEN PRIZE.

Hapag-Lloyd and Feedertech will update their jointly operated India-Gulf 1 (IG1)/Arabian Gulf-India (AGIS) service with a new rotation calling at Jebel Ali, Karachi, Kandla, Nhava Sheva, Jebel Ali, Dammam, Shuaiba, Umm Qasr, Jebel Ali. The revised rotation will replace the call at Mundra with new calls at Nhava Sheva and Kandla.
