SITC has revised its China Malaysia Indonesia 2 (CMI2) service that was first launched in March 2021 with calls at Semarang and Surabaya to be removed from May 2023. The new CMI2 rotation will call at Nansha, Shekou, Haiphong, Qinzhou, Ho Chi Minh City, Jakarta, Laem Chabang, Ho Chi Minh City, Batangas, Manila(N), Nansha. HMM launch ICN (Intra Cross Network) service

HMM has launched a new ICN (Intra Cross Network) service that operates on a two-wing butterfly pattern calling at Busan, Shanghai, Ho Chi Minh City, Laem Chabang, Ho Chi Minh City, Incheon, Busan, Qingdao, Shanghai, Kaohsiung, Manila, Busan, Dalian, Qingdao, Busan. The total duration will be 42 days using 6 Bangkokmax ships of 1,700 to 1,900 teu. The service starts on 19 May 2022 at Busan with the 1,805 teu PELICAN, followed by the 1,809 teu SKY RAINBOW, 1,762 teu INCEDA, 1,713 teu AS SUSANNA,

4 carriers launch China-Malaysia-Vietnam service

Maersk, KMTC, SITC and TS Lines are teaming up to launch a new NEA-SEA service that is branded respectively as the IA-68, CMV, FEM3 and CMV. The new service will call at Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Port Klang, Penang, Ho Chi Minh City, Shekou, Incheon, Qingdao and is scheduled to start on 9 May 2023, using 4 ships of 2,400-2,500 teu on a 28-days round trip. Sinotrans/SITC extend CHS/CJV5 to Busan

Sinotrans and SITC have extended their jointly operated China Haiphong Service (CHS/CJV5) with a northbound extension to Busan from 3 April 2023. The extended CHS/CJV5 service calls at Busan, Ningbo, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Haiphong, Danang, Hong Kong, Ningbo, Shanghai, Busan on a 3 week rotation using the 1,510 teu REN JIAN 6 and 1,774 teu INFERRO from Sinotrans and the 1,808 teu SITC SHANDONG from SITC.

Tangshan Hede launch China Vietnam Thailand service

Tangshan Hede Shipping has launched a new China-Vietnam-Thailand 1 (CVT1) service that will provide the first direct connection between its home port of Tangshan with Vietnam and Thailand via transhipment at Nansha. The CVT1 service connects Nansha, Ho Chi Minh City, Laem Chabang, Nansha. The service started on 7 April 2023 with the 1,096 teu HS HONG KONG that has joined Hede Shipping on a 6 to 8 months charter at $13,000 per day. Zim-Hai An joint venture Lotus Link launch HSP1

Lotus Link, the joint venture of Zim and Hai An Transport, has launched its first service from 18 March 2023.  The Haiphong-Saigon-Port Klang 1 (HSP1) service connects Haiphong, Ho Chi Minh City, Port Klang, Ho Chi Minh City using 2 Vietnamese flagged ships - the 1,060 teu HAIAN LINK and the 1,134 teu TC SYMPHONY that allows it to operate on both the domestic route and international route.

PIL and IRIS Logistics to launch new Philippines-Singapore-Thailand service

PIL will team up with IRIS Logistics, the shipping arm of Philippine's Royal Cargo group to launch a new Philippines-Singapore-Thailand from 15 February 2023. ASL and ESL team up in revised North China Philippines Express (NPX2/NPX)

Asean Seas Line (ASL) and Emirates Shipping Line (ESL) will team up on the new North China Philippines Express (NPX2/NPX) service calling at Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Manila (S), Qingdao. Zim/Gold Star Line is adding more port calls on the China Thailand Vietnam III (CT3) that will extend the service to reach North Asia from January 2023.
