Maersk and Hapag-Lloyd will roll out 4 new intra-Asia feeder services from February 2025 in conjunction with the launch of the new Gemini Cooperation network, with the following rotation details: * Taiwan Express (TWX) calling at Taichung, Kaohsiung, Tanjung Pelepas, Singapore, Taichung. The service will turn in 14 days using 2 ships of 2,400-2,700 teu starting with the 2,702 teu GABRIELA A at Taichung on 6 February 2025 followed by the 2,433 teu CUL QINGDAO. * China Philippines Feeder (CPF)
MSC has restarted the Sunrise service connecting Busan, Vostochny, Busan from 6 January 2025 deploying the 1,121 teu MSC KANU F and 1,118 teu MSC FORTUNE F. The service will replace the previous call at Vostochny on the Golden Horn service that has been dropped. The revised Golden Horn service calls at Shanghai, Ningbo, Rizhao, Vladivostok, Busan, Shanghai from January 2025.
SITC has revised the rotation of the China Vietnam Malaysia 2 (CVM2) service from December 2024 to call at Nansha, Chiwan, Xiamen, Kota Kinabalu, Bintulu, Ho Chi Minh City, Nansha. The previous northbound calls at Qinzhou and Haiphong are removed and replaced by a new call at Ho Chi Minh City from 16 December 2024. The CVM2 will retain a 21 day turnaround using 3 ships of 1,000 teu.
Hapag-Lloyd will launch a new Vietnam Cambodia (VCS) service connecting Sihanoukville, Cai Mep, Haiphong, Yantian, Shekou, Sihanoukville from 18 January 2025. The service will turn in 14 days using 2 newbuildings of 1,930 teu that Hapag-Lloyd has taken on 2 year charters from Reederei Nord starting with the NORDATLANTIC at Sihanoukville on 18 January 2025 followed by the NORDBALTIC on 25 January 2025.
COSCO Shipping has launched a new Yangpu Indonesia Express (YIX) service connecting Yangpu, Nansha, Jakarta, Semarang, Singapore, Semarang, Jakarta, Yangpu from 26 December 2024. The YIX turns in 3 weeks using 3 ships of 1,000-1,800 teu starting with the 1,876 teu BRIGHT COSMOS at Yangpu on 26 December 2024.
Ningbo Ocean Shipping (NBOSCO) has launched a new China Japan Vietnam 1 (CJV1) service connecting Osaka, Kobe, Nagoya, Tokyo, Yokohama, Taicang, Zhapu, Ningbo, Haiphong, Ningbo, Zhapu, Taicang, Osaka from 1 May 2024. The service turns in 3 weeks using 3 ships of 1,000 teu and replaced the former CJKS1/CJKT5 service that called at Ningbo, Hakata, Moji, Osaka, Kobe, Zhapu, Taicang, Osaka, Kobe, Nagoya, Tokyo, Yokohama, Zhapu, Ningbo.
CMA CGM and its intra-Asia arm CNC has introduced a new China Vietnam Express 8 (CV8) service calling at Shanghai, Ningbo, Ho Chi Minh City, Shanghai from 28 December 2024. The CV8 service turns in 14 days and deploys the 2,058 teu CMA CGM ESCURIAL and 1,756 teu KUO LIN.
SITC has launched a new Beibu Gulf-Vietnam Express (BVX) service connecting Haiphong, Qinzhou, Haiphong from 16 December 2024. The service turns in 3-4 days using the 588 teu VIMC PIONEER.
OOCL and Yang Ming will jointly launch a new China-Laem Chabang (CHL2)/China-Thailand Express (CTE) service connecting Shanghai, Ningbo, Xiamen, Nansha, Laem Chabang, Shekou, Shanghai from 10 January 2025. The CHL2/CTE will turn in 3 weeks and will deploy 3 ships of 2,700 teu with OOCL's 2,782 teu DEAR PANEL and SYMEON P, both chartered from Euroseas who will join the service at Shanghai on 10 January and 24 January respectively upon delivery from the Hyundai Mipo shipyard while Yang Ming will
Sinotrans has launched a new China Vietnam Thailand 1 (CVT1) service calling at Nansha, Hong Kong, Shekou, Ho Chi Minh City, Laem Chabang, Nansha from 4 December 2024. The CVT1 turns in 14 days using 2 ships of 1,000 teu with the 1,024 teu OPTIMA and 1,040 teu SINOTRANS TIANJIN.
