Taicang Container Lines launch Taicang India East (TIE) direct service

Taicang Container Lines (TCL) has launched a new Taicang-India East (TIE) direct service connecting Nanjing, Taicang, Xiamen, Port Klang, Chennai, Visakhapatnam, Port Klang, Nanjing from 1 December 2023. The service operates on a monthly frequency using the 1,938 teu JOSCO LUCKY.

ONE to launch WIN service

ONE will launch a new West India North America (WIN) service calling at Port Qasim, Hazira, Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Damietta, Algeciras, New York, Savannah, Jacksonville, Charleston, Norfolk, Damietta, Jeddah, Port Qasim from May 2024 turning in 9 weeks with ships operated solely by ONE. HMM will purchase 1,700 teu a week on the service on a round trip basis including 170 reefer slots. The routing could be affected by the current diversions from the Red Sea to the Cape which could delay the launc

ONE and Samudera add Straits India Gulf (SIG) service

Samudera will be a vessel operating partner with ONE on the Southeast Asia to India and Gulf/Straits India Gulf (SIG) service that was launched on 16 November 2023. The SIG service calls at Singapore, Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Dammam, Jebel Ali, Cochin, Colombo, Singapore using 4 ships of 2,500-2,800 teu on a 28 day rotation, of which Samudera will contribute the 2,824 teu MONACO, that will operate alongside 3 ships operated by ONE (2,542 teu SAFEEN PRISM, 2,664 teu NYK ISABEL and 2,824 teu MONACO).

CMA CGM/COSCO launch Asia Subcontinent Express 2 (AS2)

CMA CGM and COSCO have launched a new Asia Subcontinent Express 2 (AS2) service that connects Shanghai, Ningbo, Shekou, Singapore, Colombo, Mundra, Nhava Sheva, Singapore, Shanghai from 16 November 2023. The AS2 will turn in 5 weeks using 5 ships of 4,200-6,300 teu, of which 4 ships are operated by CMA CGM (4,253 teu DERBY, 5,466 teu CMA CGM LEKKI, 6,350 teu APL MINNESOTA and TBN vessel)and 1 ship is from COSCO (5,085 teu COSCO NEW YORK).

COSCO/OOCL launch UAE-India Sub-Continent Gulf 2 (UIG2) service

COSCO and OOCL have introduced a new UAE-India Sub-Continent Gulf 2 (UIG2) service calling at Nhava Sheva, Hazira, Mundra, Abu Dhabi, Jebel Ali, Sharjah, Khalifa bin Salman, Abu Dhabi, Sohar, Nhava Sheva from 22 November 2023. The service replaces the current Asia Gulf India 2 (AGI2) service that calls at Singapore, Mundra, Jebel Ali, Abu Dhabi, Hamad, Khalifa bin Salman, Abu Dhabi, Singapore. ONE has announced the launch of a new Southeast Asia to India and Gulf (SIG) service from 16 November 2023. The service will call at Singapore, Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Dammam, Jebel Ali, Cochin, Colombo, Singapore using 4 ships that are yet to be assigned in a 28 day rotation.

X-Press Feeders adds Mediterranean X-Press (MEDX) through slots on HMM

X-Press Feeders have introduced a new Mediterranean X-Press (MEDX) service that connects Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Karachi, Jeddah, Damietta, Piraeus, Genoa, Valencia, Barcelona, Piraeus, Damietta, Jeddah, Karachi, Mundra, Nhava Sheva starting from 29 September 2023. The MEDX service is offered through slots on the India-Med leg of HMM's Far East-India-Med (FIM) service that operates on a fortnightly basis using 6 ships of 6,700-8,500 teu.

Zim withdraws Med-ISC (ZMI) service

Zim has withdrawn its Zim Med ISC (ZMI) service from September 2023, with the last sailing departing from Haifa on 2 September 2023. The ZMI service called at Haifa, Aliaga, Valencia, Felixstowe, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Antwerp, Le Havre, Ashdod, Limassol,Haifa,Colombo,Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Haifa turning in 5 weeks with 5 ships of 3,500-6,800 teu operated independently by Zim. Zim will replace the ZMI with slots on 3 MSC services covering 3 separate corridors that were previously served by the ZMI:

X-Press Feeders joins Maersk in new FE-India VSA

X-Press Feeders will add a new North China-India West Coast X-Press (NWX) service in a new Vessel Sharing Agreement with Maersk on the current FI3 service from 14 September 2023. The new NWX/FI3 service will be an enhancement of the existing FI3 with the addition of new calls at Port Klang, Karachi and Mundra and a 7th ship added with the capacity to be enhanced from 3,300-5,000 teu to the 7,000 teu. Hapag-Lloyd and Feedertech will update their jointly operated India-Gulf 1 (IG1)/Arabian Gulf-India (AGIS) service with a new rotation calling at Jebel Ali, Karachi, Kandla, Nhava Sheva, Jebel Ali, Dammam, Shuaiba, Umm Qasr, Jebel Ali. The revised rotation will replace the call at Mundra with new calls at Nhava Sheva and Kandla.
