HMM, ONE & Yang Ming to launch new ISC-North Europe service

HMM, ONE and Yang Ming will launch a new India subcontinent-North Europe service connecting Karachi, Hazira, Mundra, Nhava Sheva, Colombo, London Gateway, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Antwerp, Karachi from 5 February 2025. The service will be branded as the India North Europe Express (INX) by HMM, Indian Ocean Express (IOX) by ONE and India Ocean Express Service (ISE) by Yang Ming. It will turn in 11 weeks using 11 ships of 6,000 to 7,000 teu. Port rotation of the new INX/IOX/ISE service

IAL adds Vietnam Thailand India (VTI) link

Interasia Lines (IAL) has launched a new Vietnam Thailand India (VTI) service connecting Ho Chi Minh City, Laem Chabang, Port Klang(N), Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Port Klang(N), Ho Chi Minh City from 13 December 2024. The VTI service will turn in 5 weeks and is expected to deploy ships of 2,600 to 3,000 teu with irregular sailings initially starting with the 2,782 teu INTERASIA ELEVATE at Ho Chi Minh City on 13 December 202 and the 3,055 teu INTERASIA TENACITY at Ho Chi Minh City on 4 January 2025.

Jinjiang/OOCL/Sinokor/SITC to launch new Far East-India service

Jinjiang Shipping, OOCL, Sinokor and SITC will jointly launch a new Far East-India service that will be branded respectively as South China-East India (CSI)/Far East Chennai Service 3 (FCS3)/Sinokor India Service 3 (SIS3)/Far East-India Express 2 (FIE2). The service will start from 2 December 2024 to call at Nansha, Shekou, Ho Chi Minh City, Laem Chabang, Port Klang (WP), Chennai, Port Klang, Nansha. It turns in 4 weeks using 4 ships of 2,400 to 2,800 teu with each partner contributing one ship

PIL offers direct China Calcutta Service (CCS)

PIL has introduced a China Calcutta Service (CCS) connecting Xiamen, Shekou, Singapore, Kolkata, Singapore, Xiamen from 2 July 2024. The service turns in 3 weeks and deploys 3 geared ships of the KOTA R class - the 777 teu KOTA RATA and KOTA RUKUN, together with the 851 teu KOTA RAKYAT. The service currently provides the only direct connection between China and Kolkata.

RCL and BTL launch West India-Gulf (RWG) service

Regional Container Line (RCL) and Bengal Tiger Line (BTL) have launched a new RCL West India-Gulf (RWG) service connecting Mundra, Nhava Sheva, Jebel Ali, Umm Qasr, Mundra. The RWG service will turn in 21 days and will deploy 3 ships of 2,500-2,700 teu starting with the 2,588 teu VIRA BHUM at Mundra on 16 October 2024, followed by the 2,702 teu INTERSEA TRAVELER. ONE take slots on GFS' Colombo Cochin Gulf (CCG)/India Coast Express (ICE) service

ONE has announced the launch of a new India Coast Express (ICE) service through slots on Global Feeder Shipping's Colombo Cochin Gulf (CCG) service that connects West Coast India, Colombo and East Coast India. The CCG/ICE calls at Mundra, Pipavav, Mangalore, Cochin, Colombo, Kattupalli, Visakhapatnam, Kattupalli, Colombo, Cochin, Mangalore, Mundra. The service turns in 28 days using 4 Indian flagged ships of 2,700-3,300 teu operated by GFS.

Asyad Line and Folk Maritime launch India-Red Sea Service (IRS)

Asyad Line and Folk Maritime have launched a new India-Red Sea Service (IRS) with each partner to contribute one ship each on the service from 10 September 2024. Asyad Line's 3,534 teu WADI DUKA will connect Sokhna, Jeddah, Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Salalah, Sokhna on a 30-35 day rotation, while Folk Maritime's 1,868 teu FOLK JEDDAH will connect Jeddah, Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Jeddah on a 20-25 day rotation.

Maersk to launch new Far East-Indian Subcontinent 1 service

Maersk will launch a new Far East-Indian Subcontinent 1 (FI1) service calling at Colombo, Laem Chabang, Yantian, Hong Kong, Colombo from September 2024. The service will turn in 4 weeks and will deploy 4 ships of 3,500 teu to 7,800 teu starting with the 4,506 teu DYROS at Colombo on 10 September.

SITC extends MIM service to China

SITC has revised its recently launch Malaysia-India-Myanmar (MIM) service with an extended rotation to China to call at Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Shekou, Chennai, Haldia, Port Klang, Kuantan, Qingdao. The extension of the service to China will allow SITC to omit the westbound Port Klang call that has been affected by congestion. SITC has launched a new Yangon Chennai Service (YCS) calling at Yangon, Chennai, Yangon from 12 August 2024. The service turns in around 8 to 10 days amd deploys the 1,032 teu SITC HAIPHONG that joined the service at Chennai on 12 August 2024.
