ONE has announced the launch of a new India Coast Express (ICE) service through slots on Global Feeder Shipping's Colombo Cochin Gulf (CCG) service that connects West Coast India, Colombo and East Coast India. The CCG/ICE calls at Mundra, Pipavav, Mangalore, Cochin, Colombo, Kattupalli, Visakhapatnam, Kattupalli, Colombo, Cochin, Mangalore, Mundra. The service turns in 28 days using 4 Indian flagged ships of 2,700-3,300 teu operated by GFS.
The FAX/IEA/EAX/REA/FAS service, currently operated by Emirates Shipping Line (ESL), Global Feeder Shipping (GFS), Interasia Lines (IAL), KMTC, Regional Container Lines (RCL) and TS Lines (TSL) will be upgraded from October 2024 with a second loop added with Evergreen joining the group as a vessel operator. Abu Dhabi Ports (AD Ports), the owner of Safeen Feeders, is reported to be in talks to acquire Indonesia’s Meratus Line in a transaction that could be valued at $2Bn. Meratus was reported to be seeking to sell its shipping and logistics business since July 2023, and AD Ports has emerged as the front runner in sales process. TS Lines (TSL)has added a new Asia Indian Subcontinent 2 (AIS2) service after it joined Sinokor and Global Feeder Service (GFS) on their jointly operated Sinokor India Service 2 (SIS 2) / China Sub Continent (CSC) service. TS Lines replaced SeaLead as a partner on this service after the latter pulled out from the service in December 2022. Maersk and Global Feeder Shipping (GFS) will launch a new Intra ME/ISC service that will cover Jebel Ali, Dammam, Jebel Ali, Mundra, Pipavav, Jebel Ali with two ships, the 1,740 teu BIG DOG and 1,613 teu GFS RANNA (ex HERA). BIG DOG will phase in on 29 November 2022 at Jebel Ali while GFS RANNA, coming out of drydock, will phase in also at Jebel Ali on 6 December 2022.
