Maersk and Hapag-Lloyd roll out Gemini Cooperation feeder services in Asia

Maersk and Hapag-Lloyd will roll out 4 new intra-Asia feeder services from February 2025 in conjunction with the launch of the new Gemini Cooperation network, with the following rotation details: * Taiwan Express (TWX) calling at Taichung, Kaohsiung, Tanjung Pelepas, Singapore, Taichung. The service will turn in 14 days using 2 ships of 2,400-2,700 teu starting with the 2,702 teu GABRIELA A at Taichung on 6 February 2025 followed by the 2,433 teu CUL QINGDAO. * China Philippines Feeder (CPF)

Alliance revamp in 2025 set to disrupt liner market balance

Maersk and Hapag-Lloyd announced on 17 January 2024 the formation of a new long-term global alliance named Gemini Cooperation that will start from February 2025. The move comes one year after the announcement of the break up of the 2M partnership between Maersk and MSC on 25 January 2023 with a 2 year notice period that will take effect from January 2025. Hapag-Lloyd has also given a one year notice to its partners in THE Alliance for an early termination of its participation in the partnership

Hapag-Lloyd withdraws from THE Alliance to form Gemini Cooperation with Maersk
