CMA CGM drops Containerships brand

CMA CGM will drop the Containerships brand from 1 July 2023, with all of the Containerships services coming under the unified CMA CGM brand. Containerships was founded in 1966 with operations based in Helsinki in Finland. CMA CGM had acquired Containerships from Finnish company Container Finance Ltd Oy on 31 October 2018, and retained the brand for its intra-European services. Containerships launch SCX 2 Scotland Express 2 service

Containerships, the intra-Europe arm of CMA CGM, will launch a new Scotland Express 2 (SCX 2) service connecting Rotterdam, Hull, Grangemouth, Rotterdam from 8 July 2023 using the 750 teu ENCOUNTER. The SCX 2 will turn weekly in 7 days and will call at 3 terminals at Rotterdam - Rotterdam World Gateway (RWG), Dedicated Delta South (DDE) and RST Zuidzijde. Containerships upgrade Portugal East Coast (PGEC) service

CMA CGM's Containerships has upgraded its Portugal East Coast (PGEC) with new calls at Bassens (France) and Algeciras (Spain) from 6 June 2023. The revised PGEC rotation will call at Rotterdam, Bassens, Setubal, Algeciras, Setubal, Leixoes, Ferrol, Tilbury, Dunkirk, Antwerp, Vlissingen, Rotterdam on a 21 day rotation using 3 ships - the 962 teu SPICA J, 812 teu VOHBURG and 803 teu JORK RULER.

Containerships/CMA CGM combines PGWC and POSS service

Containerships will combine the PGWC (Portugal-West Coast) with the POSS (Portugal South Spain) into a revamped PGWC service from 18 May 2023. The extended service will call at Dublin, Liverpool, Montoir, Leixoes, Algeciras, Vigo, Setubal, Leixoes, Ferrol, Liverpool, Dublin. Containerships Launches BLX

Containerships, the intra-Europe short sea subsidiary of CMA CGM, is launching a new Baltic Express (BLX) service that will call at Bremerhaven, Hamburg, Gdansk, Klaipeda, Riga, Norrkoping, Bremerhaven as an expansion of the Poland Express (PLX). The two vessels, the 1,404 teu HEINRICH EHLER and 1,638 teu BALTIC TERN, currently deployed in th PLX will be redeployed on the BLX. HEINRICH EHLER will start BLX on 1 May 2023 at Bremerhaven followed a week later by BALTIC TERN.

Containerships launches several shuttle services

Containerships, a subsidiary of CMA CGM, is launching several shuttle services connecting Germany with the Scandinavian ports. First, Finland Express (FLX) will start on 29 January with 1,368 teu CONTAINERSHIPS STELLAR at Bremerhaven. Containerships launches SWX2

Containerships, the European short sea subsidiary of CMA CGM, has launched the Sweden Express 2 (SWX2) connecting Bremerhaven, Gavle, Gdansk, Gdynia, Klaipeda, Norrkoping, Rauma, Wilhelmshaven, Bremerhaven. The new service will turn in 2 weeks using 2 ships of 907 teu, LINDA and AILA, both previously were deployed in the Intra-Northern European routes. The service will start with LINDA at Bremerhaven on 27 October.

Containerships, the intra-Europe subsidiary of CMA CGM, has revised the rotation of 2 existing services that connects that UK and Ireland with the North Continent. The DUKE service will cover Germany and the UK East Coast as part of the revised BALT1 CS service, calling at Helsinki, Talinn, Hamburg, Rotterdam, Teesport, Rotterdam, Helsinki with the 850 teu CONTAINERSHIPS VIII and the 966 teu CONTAINERSHIPS VI. Containerships started Irish Sea Express (ISX) that connects Dunkirk, Dublin, Greenock, Rotterdam, Dunkirk with two ships. 803 teu Ranger joined the service on Sep 1 at Greenock while 907 teu Linda joined on Sep 7 at Greenock.
