CMA CGM and X-Press Feeders have launched a new Ceylon Chittagong Service (CBS)/Upper Bay of Bengal - Loop 3 (UBB-Loop3) service connecting Colombo, Chittagong, Colombo from 2 December 2024. The CBS/UBB-Loop3 turns in 14 days using 4 ships of 1,500-1,700 teu with CMA CGM contributing 1 of the 4 ships starting with the 1,714 teu SANTA LOUKIA, whil X-Press Feeders will deploy the 1,577 teu SMOOTH VENTURE together with the 1,756 teu X-PRESS NILWALA and MOUNT CAMERON.
X-Press Feeders have introduced a new Colombo West Coast India (CWC) service through slots on CMA CGM/OOCL's Bangladesh India Gulf Express that is operated with 4 ships of 1,700 teu. The full service rotation calls at Chittagong, Colombo, New Mangalore, Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Jebel Ali, Abu Dhabi, Chittagong, with X-Press' CWC offering only the Colombo, New Mangalore, Nhava Sheva leg of the service.
Zim and Gold Star Line (GSL) have revised the GSL Kolkata Colombo (GKC) service with the addition of new calls at Chittagong and Kattupalli from May 2023. The revised service has been renamed Kolkata Chittagong Express Shutle (GKC) and calls at Colombo, Chittagong, Kolkata, Kattupalli, Colombo, turning in 21 days using 3 chartered ships of 1,000-1,100 teu (IMKE SCHEPERS, SINAR BANGKA, ASIATIC NEPTUNE).
