CNC (CMA CGM) has added a new call at Mongla on the Bengal Bay Express (BBX) service. The revised rotation will call at Singapore, Port Klang, Chittagong, Mongla, Singapore using the 2,257 teu UBENA from 5 January 2023 with the first call at Mongla on 15 January 2023.
The four carrier partnership of ANL (CMA CGM), Hapag-Lloyd, Maersk and ONE on the SE Asia-Australia route will revise their 3 existing services from March 2023. The first service, branded respectively as the ANL 'AAX-S' (changed from AAX1), Hapag-Lloyd 'SEA', Maersk 'Greater Australia Connect' (GAC) (changed from Cobra) and ONE 'AU1', will call at Port Klang, Tanjung Pelepas, Singapore, Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Fremantle, Port Kelang from 9 March 2023 with the 8,400 teu MAERSK STRALSUND .
Hapag-Lloyd will take slots from CMA CGM on the Asia-North Europe FAL3 service (operated as the OCEAN Alliance NEU5) starting from 14 February 2023. The service connects Qingdao, Ningbo, Shanghai, Yantian, Singapore, Tangier, Southampton, Rotterdam, Antwerp, Le Havre, Tangier, Jeddah, Qingdao with Hapag-Lloyd not participating on the calls at Tangier. CMA CGM's intra-Asia arm CNC is relaunching the Nine Provinces Feeder (NPF) service that connects the North Asia hub of Busan with 5 Japanese ports in Kyushu. The relaunched service started on 9 January 2023 at Busan with the 724 teu ATLANTIC BRIDGE and will call weekly at Busan, Hakata, Shibushi, Hososhima, Oita, Moji, Hakata and Busan. CMA CGM has updated its FE-ECNA Cheasapeake Bay Express (CBX) service with the addition of calls at Singapore, Laem Chabang and Haiphong. OCEAN Alliance partners also slots on this service, branding it as the CBX (Evergreen), AWE7 (COSCO) and ECC3 (OOCL). The revised rotation calls at Singapore, Laem Chabang, Haiphong, Yantian, Ningbo, Shanghai, Busan, Panama (Canal), Norfolk, Savannah, Charleston, Miami, Suez(Canal), Singapore. CMA CGM launching Caucasus Georgia Express covering Poti, Piraeus, Ambarli, Poti with a 1,118 teu MAREN. MAREN will phase in on 8 January at Piraeus. MAREN is currently being deployed in a East Med feeder service.
CMA CGM has revised the rotation of its Eagle Express X (EXX) service from October 2022, with the addition of a new call at Yantian while dropping the Honolulu westbound call. CMA CGM will add a new westbound call at Jeddah on the INDAMEX 2 service connecting the Indian Subcontinent with the US East Coast. The revised rotation will start from 1 January 2023 can call at Port Qasim, Mundra, Nhava Sheva, Jeddah (new call from 11 Jan 2023), Norfolk, Charleston, Savannah, Port Qasim. CMA CGM is launching another shuttle connecting Guyana and Trinidad. The new shuttle will deploy a single ship 167 teu CEDRIC K calling Georgetown and Port of Spain. CEDRIC K, currently deployed in St Martin & other islands service (Leeward 2), is phasing in on 4 Jan at Port of Spain.
RCL has teamed up with CMA CGM's intra-Asia carrier, CNC, to launch a new Yangon Cambodia Express (YGX) service that connects Singapore, Port Klang, Yangon, Port Klang, Singapore, Sihanoukville, Singapore from 3 January 2023. The service will deploy 3 ships on a 21 day rotation, starting with the 1,060 teu GREEN PACIFIC from CNC and followed by 2 more ships from RCL - the 928 teu NITHI BHUM and 1,118 teu OTANA BHUM.
